Eligibility and Enrollment
How do I apply?
Please apply online. Once your online application is completed, expect a phone call or email from the ImagingWorks recruitment team. If you are having difficulty using the online application, please contact us.
How is ImagingWorks different from other Medical Imaging courses?
ImagingWorks stands apart by providing training from industry professionals at RadNet clinical sites, offering comprehensive supportive services (including tech support) during your training, and by continuing support after completion with your job search and career growth.
Do you require healthcare experience?
No, but employers prefer a consistent work history (six consecutive months, W-2 or check stub please). If you’re a compassionate and empathetic person with a passion for healthcare and have communication and technical skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
How much does it cost?
ImagingWorks is an earn-and-learn program thanks to the generous support of our funders, the Berger Family Foundation, RadNet, and the JVS SoCal Women’s Leadership Network. Starting day one of the program, you will earn an hourly wage and become a temporary employee of RadNet for up to 90 days. You may then apply for a full-time position..
What are the steps to getting enrolled in an ImagingWorks class?
There are four steps to enrollment:
1. Attend an informational session.
2. Attend a screening & orientation session and take three assessment tests (cognitive ability, basic reading and math, and personality).
3. Interview with both JVS SoCal and RadNet staff.
4. Pass a background check, health verification, and submit an official RadNet application.
What if I’m not accepted into the program?
If you are not accepted, we can provide you with additional resources, including career coaching, other training opportunities for high growth industries, job placement assistance and candidate recruitment at no cost through the America’s Job Centers of California that we operate.
Assessment and Testing
What are the assessment tests?
You’ll be given three tests to determine whether you’re eligible for enrollment:
1. CCAT (Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test): This measures your ability to solve problems and use critical thinking. Approximately 15 minutes.
2. CBST (Criteria Basic Skills Test): This will check your reading, comprehension, and basic math skills. Approximately 20 minutes.
3. Personality Assessment: This determines how suitable you are to working in a medical field. Approximately 10 minutes.
How do I prepare for the tests?
ImagingWorks will provide you with links to practice questions and tips for preparation.
How do I take the tests?
The tests are online and you will need either a tablet or a computer with a camera. You may not use a smartphone.
What happens if I don’t pass the tests?
At our discretion, ImagingWorks will provide tutors to applicants who do not pass the tests, but who we believe would succeed with tutoring support. JVS SoCal also offers our clients additional skills and workplace training and support.
What to Expect During Training
Where are the classes held?

What is the training schedule?
This is an 11-week training course embedded in a clinical site where you are working full time. The classes are held online during the business day, and you will attend via computer at your clinical site.
Is it paid training?
Yes, you are paid while you are in this program. As a temporary RadNet employee at your clinical site, you will be held accountable for all the typical requirements of employment as well.
If I’m already a PSR or MRI Tech Aide am I exempt from that part of the training?
Experienced PSRs and MRI Tech Aides (with MR Safety Training certification) may be exempted from those parts of the ImagingWorks training.

Is job placement guaranteed?
Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive job placement assistance and have the opportunity to interview for full-time positions.
